Background
BroadSpan Capital assisted Livraria Cultura S.A., a leading Brazilian bookstore chain with R$ 230 million (US$ 98.7 million) in revenues, raise an undisclosed value with Capital Mezanino FIP, a R$ 177 million (US$ 76.0 million) mezzanine fund managed by Neo Investimentos and Banco Itaú as a consultant.

Neo Investimentos is a Brazilian independent asset management firm, and Banco Itaú is the largest Brazilian Bank with R$ 397 billion (US$ 170.4 billion) in assets. With this funding, Livraria Cultura plans to accelerate its national expansion plan.
