Dr. Seth Orlow joins Brocair Partners as Senior Advisory Director

Brocair Partners LLC, the US Healthcare partner in Mergers Alliance, is pleased to announce that Dr. Seth Orlow has joined as Senior Advisory Director.
Dr. Orlow is an accomplished physician-scientist leader, administrator, and investor. Dr. Orlow's entrepreneurial experience began in the 1990s when he co-founded the Anaderm Research Corporation, backed by Pfizer and OSI Pharmaceuticals. He participated in the sale of Anaderm to Pfizer in 2001. That same year, he joined the healthcare team at Easton Capital Partners, a venture capital firm, where he rose from Advisor to Partner. At Easton, he was involved in the sourcing, diligence, funding, oversight and exit of investments in many companies including Acorda, Renovis (acquired by Evotec), Targacept, Conor Medsystems (acquired by J&J), Salmedix (acquired by Cephalon), CombinatoRx, Protez (acquired by Novartis) and Transave (acquired by Insmed), while continuing to practice medicine and conduct research as a faculty member at the New York University School of Medicine.
He is the author of over 200 medical and scientific publications, reviews and chapters. He has been involved in spinning out or founding additional venture-backed companies. As an inventor, he has licensed technologies to companies ranging from Pfizer to SkinMedica. Dr. Orlow has served as a strategic advisor to large multinational corporations and small device and biopharmaceutical companies in particular in the areas of acquisitions and partnering. Dr. Orlow has been an invited speaker at academic centers including Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, and at many national and international healthcare conferences and symposia.
Dr. Orlow is a graduate of Harvard College and received his M.D.-Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Pharmacology from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Mt. Sinai and Yale.
