Major speakers unveiled for Mergers Alliance engineering conference
16th Sep 2010

On Friday 15th October, Mergers Alliance will be holding an Engineering conference at the Savoy Place in London, hosted by Catalyst CF.

Marking the publication of major new research on M&A in the global engineering market, this conference has drawn heavyweight speakers from across the engineering & industrial sector and the world, including Allan Cook CBE, former CEO of Cobham Plc and now Chair of Atkins Global.

Entitled 'Growing a global engineering business', speakers including Cook, John Hudson (former CEO of Wagon Plc and now chair of leading aerospace technologies business Bromford Industries) and Steven Sellhausen from international leader Dover Industries, will address delegates drawn from industry and private equity.

Philipp v. Hochberg, Managing Partner of the German Mergers Alliance member CH Reynolds Corporate Finance and head of the Industrial Engineering sector team said, “The typical German Engineering company is a midsized niche player with innovative product solutions, export rates of approx. 70-80%, a business model which is highly profitable and a strategic path which also includes cross border acquisitions and divestures. We at CH Reynolds Corporate Finance are focused very much on this typical German sector which is embedded in an international environment. So, we very much appreciate having the opportunity to exchange ideas, views and facts during this conference with high profile experts from the scene. This conference is a perfect medium for that”.

Managing partner of Catalyst, Andy Currie will chair the day and said, "Working with companies in the engineering sector have formed a major part of Catalyst's history so I'm particularly pleased that we have able to host this major conference here in London. As our recent work in the sector has shown us, to be a major player in the sector involves having a strong plan for international expansion, and I look forward to learning more from our distinguished speakers on how they have achieved what they have."
