Deal Summary

On 1 April 2020, Sibelco announced the completion of the sale of its Australian sand operations located in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales to Holcim Australia, a subsidiary of a global construction materials company, LafargeHolcim.

Founded in 1872, Sibelco is a globally known material solutions company operating in Australia since 2010. Today, it remains a privately-owned business operating 174 production sites in more than 30 countries with more than 8,500 employees.

The sale includes three sand mining operations (Glenshera, SA, Lang Lang, VIC and Salt Ash, NSW), associated site reserves and resources, processing infrastructure and related assets and the transfer of approximately 70 employees across the respective locations.
