Fredrik is a M.D, Ph.D. with broad clinical, academic and life science industry experience spanning over 35 years. He has been a senior advisor of Experia since 2010 and has now stepped up his Corporate Finance activities to become his major focus since September 2014.
Fredrik is a M.D, Ph.D. with a broad medical, academic and life science industry background spanning over 35 years. His working life experience includes medical practice, clinical and experimental academic research and 17 years in the Life Science Industry (Pharma, Biotech, Nutrition, Med Tech) in senior management positions; covering Research, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Business Development and Corporate Development. Fredrik has extensive hands-on experience from all drug development phases and possesses a broad knowledge of drug discovery and development principles and practice.
Fredrik has broad international leadership experience, including previous positions as Regional Medical Director at SB/GSK, VP Clinical Science and VP Business Development at SOBI (Biovitrum) and VP and Chief Medical Officer for Nutricia and BBB Therapeutics. His experience does also include running his own consulting company in Translational Medicine. Fredrik has experience from several therapy areas including Metabolism, Cardiovascular, CNS, Oncology, Hematology, Respiratory, Immunology, Virology, Vaccines and Haematology.
He received his M.D. and Ph.D. at Karolinska Institute, Sweden, where he is still Associate Professor, specialized in internal medicine and endocrinology. His academic research has mostly been focused on diabetes and obesity and has resulted in 75 publications so far. Fredrik has also been reviewer for medical journals such as Nature Medicine, Lancet and Diabetologia.
