Okko is primarily active in Industrials and Construction related M&A, which have been his focus sectors since 2000. During his years at OXEYE Advisors, Okko advised a broad group of clients, including the private equity owners of Rina on the sale to ARYZTA, the Grontmij Supervisory Board on the public offer by Sweco, the shareholders of PSH on the sale to Nordian Capital, listed company Airopack on various fundraisings, the shareholders of JOZ on the sale to Rabo Participaties and family-owned AutoBinck on the sale of its PartsPoint Group division to Alliance Automotive Group.
Okko started his investment banking career at ABN AMRO in 1991, where he held various DCM and ECM positions in Amsterdam and Hong Kong. In 2000, he joined MeesPierson Corporate Finance & Capital Markets and from then on focused on M&A. From 2007-2010, Okko headed the Dutch team at MeesPierson Corporate Finance & Capital Markets that subsequently became the basis for the ABN AMRO M&A team. His previous clients include Accell, Adecco, Canon, ERIKS, Heineken, Rexam, Royal Ten Cate and voestalpine for cross-border M&A transactions and public offers. Okko held board positions at Japan Asia Venture Fund, MobileCommerce, Vibrant Media, Scholle IPN and Airopack Technology Group
Okko holds a masters degree in Business Economics from the University of Groningen.
