Alberto Aspesi S.p.A. is a privately-held Italian fashion firm founded by Alberto Aspesi in Milan. The company is primarily known for feather and down nylon jackets for adults and children combined with unusual accessories.
Aspesi was founded as A&D-Camiceria in 1969 by Alberto Aspesi, which was later changed to Bagarre of Alberto Aspesi in 1973, and once again changed to its current name in 1990.
In 2008, Alberto Aspesi sold 50% of his shares to Italian investment fund Investitori Associati before buying them back in 2013. In 2015 Aspesi S.p.A. reached a total turnover of approximately €42 mln and a 15% EBITDA Margin, with 30% of turnover generated overseas. The company employs more than 150 employees.
Ethica Corporate Finance advised the shareholders of Alberto Aspesi S.p.A. on the sale of majority stake to Armonia, an Italian private equity firm focused on investing in Italian middle market companies. Alberto Aspesi will retain a minority stake.
Ethica was appointed by the shareholder of Alberto Aspesi S.p.A. to support and realize value through the exit, by managing a competitive sale process involving both trade and financial buyers.
Ethica was able to identify a selected panel of potential buyers, resulting from a pre-screening activity, and structure a competitive auction process which grants the highest net equity proceeds to the shareholder.
