Founded in 1995, PRONAV consists of PRONAV Ship Management GmbH & Co. KG and PRONAV Schiffahrtsberatung GmbH & Co. KG. It is a LNG shipping company which is fully independent from energy suppliers and off-takers. The Hamburg based company has an excellent reputation in the market and is accepted at most LNG terminals worldwide. PRONAV Ship Management offers all essential elements for success in the LNG value chain, including financing support, technical management as well as project management. PRONAV Schiffahrtsberatung owns all necessary certificates to operate a crewing business in the LNG sector. Currently, PRONAV has six LNG tankers under management.
Deal Summary
The Schulte Group acquired 100 percent of the shares of the PRONAV-Group, a Hamburg based specialist in Liquid-Natural-Gas (“LNG”) shipping. With this acquisition the Schulte Group is strengthening its engagement in LNG-shipping as it is taking over a highly qualified team for the technical management and crewing of LNG vessels as well as management contracts for six LNG-tankers. Four of these vessels are partly owned by PRONAV, which will continue to operate under its company name.
