Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Castelfidardo near Ancona (Central Italy), Tastitalia is an Italian manufacturer of customized Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions for multiple applications and end-markets, such as professional coffee machines, industrial automation, automotive, medical, defence and aerospace. The Company relies on a solid and versatile know-how, a lean organization as well as long-lasting relationships with blue chip customers. Tastitalia generated ca. €12 mln in revenues in 2019.
Deal Summary
Ethica Corporate Finance advised the shareholders of Tastitalia in the sale of a majority stake to Lifco AB, a Swedish holding company acting as a permanent capital investor, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Tastitalia shareholders will continue to manage the Company and will retain a minority stake.
Value Added
After a few very successful years of business and technological developments, Tastitalia’s shareholders were looking to consolidate the Company’s position and create the ground for further future developments. Ethica started working alongside Tastitalia’s shareholders almost a year before the transaction was actually completed, by helping them assessing all the relevant available options. Since then, our team supported the clients throughout the whole process, helped identifying the best strategic partners and navigated the clients through all the various negotiations. Our activity continued also during the lockdown for the Covid-19 situation and, despite the inevitable delays and difficulties, we were able to engage a selected number of motivated parties, allowing Tastitalia’s promoters to select the best fit between different alternatives.
