Ethica Group M&A Advisory with the shareholders of Alimenta Produzioni in the transaction with Fondo Italiano d’Investimento

Ethica Group, through its M&A Advisory team, assisted Alimenta Produzioni S.r.l., an Italian company active in the production of piadine, pinse and regional savory baked specialties, in the sale of a majority stake to Fondo Italiano d’Investimento Sgr.

The transaction, carried out through the Fondo Italiano Agri&Food – FIAF, a sector-focused vehicle dedicated to supporting excellence within the national agri-food supply chain, takes place in partnership with the current management, which will remain at the helm and participate in the investment to support the company’s medium- to long-term growth path.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Riccione, Alimenta is currently led by founder and CEO Valter Baldacci together with partners Alberto Fenati and Matteo Federici. The company employs 265 people and generated revenues of approximately €50 million in 2025. Serving primarily the large-scale retail sector, the company holds a leading national position in the piadina romagnola IGP market and has expanded its product portfolio over time to include pinsa and other related categories.

Alimenta has developed a solid and structured industrial platform, organized across three main production and logistics hubs between Emilia-Romagna and Marche. It has progressively strengthened its presence in foreign markets, which today account for over one-third of total revenues, with operations in several European countries – the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Northern Europe – as well as in Australia and the USA.

The entry of Fondo Italiano aims to support a new phase of development, both by helping Alimenta reinforce its international presence and by expanding into new channels – such as Ho.Re.Ca. – as well as consolidating its leadership in the Italian market through the development of innovative product lines.
