Agroindustrial Huamani is a vertically integrated Peruvian agribusiness with USD 15 MM in revenues. It operates 665 hectares and a packaging plant in Pisco, Ica. Its main crops are citrus fruits (mandarins, grapefruits, tangelos, oranges), table grapes and asparagus.
In February 2019, Agroindustrial Huamani, part of Grupo Huamani, completed a USD 14.6 MM loan from BCP and BD Capital. The facility has a tailor-made sculped amortization that will allow Agroindustrial Huamani to implement its expansion plan.
The expansion plan consists in the sowing of 200 new hectares of mandarins, grapefruits and patented table grapes; and the expansion of the packing plant. With this investment, Agroindustrial Huamani expects to double its sales in five years, reaching levels of USD 30 MM in 2023.
EFIC Partners advised Agroindustrial Huamani through the process: structuring and definition of the expansion plan, identification of potential creditors, presentation of the investment plan and growth projections of the company, negotiation of terms, selection of the best alternative and closing of the loan agreements.
