Deal Summary

On July 3rd, 2018, Cintac S.A. subsidiary of the Chilean steel group CAP, acquired 70% of the shares of the Calaminon conglomerate for US$ 40 MM. The transaction included the four companies that make up Calaminon: Estructuras Industriales EGA S.A., FERA Peru S.A.C., Frio Panel S.A.C., and Vigas y Tubos S.A.C.

Calaminon is a leading Peruvian company with over 50 years of experience in the production and marketing of building solution products such as roofing sheets, polystyrene and polyurethane panels, structural profiles, among others. It is also one of the main suppliers of prefabricated modules for public and private institutions

This acquisition will allow Cintac S.A. to consolidate its operations in Peru along the integration into the prefabricated modular solutions market. Cintac S.A. has been operating in Peru for more than 20 years through its subsidiary Tupemesa.
