Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) is amongst the largest players in contracting for power transmission / substation, oil & gas pipeline and railway infrastructure with presence in over 50 countries. The Company is engaged in manufacturing of transmission towers (production capacity of 180,000 MT per annum) and execution of electric transmission and substation projects on EPC basis. KPTL is a publicly listed company on the Indian bourses with a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.
Deal Summary
KPTL’s subsidiary in Sweden, Kalpataru Power Transmission Sweden AB, has bought 85% stake in Swedish powers solutions and systems company Linjemontage i Grastorp AB, with aim to expand in European market. It has the right to acquire the balance 15% stake later.
