Pitti Engineering Limited, promoted by Sharad B. Pitti, was founded in 1983 and is India's largest and most reputed manufacturer of Electrical Steel Laminations, Motor Cores, Sub-Assemblies, Die-Cast Rotors and Press Tools. It is the largest exporter of laminations from India. Pitty diversified into manufacturing of Castings, Steel Fabricated Parts and machined components stator and rotor assemblies with plans of diversifying into forgings. Growth is targeted through continuous forward and backward integration plus enhancement of capacities.
Deal Summary
BCIPL is a manufacturer of electrical laminations and aluminum die cast rotors for AC/DC motors, Alternators, Pumps, Home Appliances, Electrical Vehicle etc. industries with major geographical exposure to south Indian market. BCIPL operates out of Tumkur district, Karnataka where it has its manufacturing facilities. BCIPL has an installed capacity of 16,000 tonnes per annum.
PEL manufactures value-added and assembled components through machining and lamination process for several end-user industries in India and international markets. The company has two manufacturing facilities, one each in Hyderabad (Telangana) and Aurangabad (Maharashtra). It manufactures electrical steel laminations, sub-assemblies for motor cores, sub-assemblies for generators, die-cast rotors and machining of metal components.
This acquisition would help PEL broaden its presence in South India, will add to the overall asset base and production capacity, provide entry into new end use sectors and add new customers.
