SOCOTEC Group is the leader in France in construction inspection and a major player in TIC for the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Headed by Hervé Montjotin, SOCOTEC assists companies in the areas of quality, health and safety and environment in order to ensure the integrity and performance of assets and people’s safety.
The SOCOTEC Group generates consolidated revenue of €650 million (30% outside France) with 200,000 clients. It has operations in 26 countries, 6,800 employees and over 250 forms of external recognition. In France, its network of 150 locations covers the entire country and includes 32 training centres.

Ethica Corporate Finance advised SOCOTEC Group, a major player in TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification), on the acquisition of 85% stake in DIMMS Group, the Italian leader in inspection, measurements and analyses for the infrastructure and energy sectors. Founded in 1992, DIMMS Control was acquired in 2012 by Xenon Private Equity who supported the growth of the business: today DIMMS is a group made up of six subsidiaries, of which four in Italy - DIMMS Control, Elletipi, Geomarine and LaboConsult – employs 280 people and generated revenue of €18 million in 2017. The company has 29 laboratories (four static and 25 mobile) and covers the whole of Italy from five locations: two in the Milan area, including the Vimodrone headquarters, Avellino, Ferrara and Senagallia. Its clients include Italy’s main road, rail and oil & gas companies and it conducts over 3 million tests a year.
Massimo De Iasi, founder of DIMMS Group, acquired a 15% stake in the group.
