Mergers Alliance Autumn Conference in Chicago

Mergers Alliance recently held its Autumn conference in Chicago. The Athletic Associaion Hotel was a perfect location for discussing market trends and joint deal opportunities while strengthening relationships around the world.

With 90 M&A professionals attending from all over the world, the event was a huge success thanks to the collaboration and dedication of all the members and the valuable input from our hosts based in Chicago, Drener Partners. Attendees participated in sector sessions, panel discussions and one-on-one meetings.  They also enjoyed featured guest speakers and some of Chicago’s finest attractions.  

Featured speakers during the conference included Ryan James Boyle, Senior Economist within the Global Risk Management division of Northern Trust.  A panel discussion on the “State of Middle Market M&A”, moderated by Lindsey Wendler, Managing Director, Dresner Partners, also featured the following speakers:

  • Christopher W. Nolan, Managing Director, Dresner Partners
  • Scott Rubenstein, Managing Director, BMO Sponsor Finance
  • Suzie Saxman, Partner and M&A Chair, Seyfarth Shaw
  • Steven Sherman, Managing Director and Head of Financial Consulting Services, Loop Capital

The panelist agreed on the strength of the middle market M&A, In H1 2022 Mergers Alliance partners closed 44 deals within this segment.
