Proventis Partners with Docemus Privatschulen in the sell to Academedia

Proventis Partners acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the shareholders of Docemus Privatschulen – a leading private school operator in Germany – in the sell of their education group to Academedia

AcadeMedia has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in the German school group Docemus-Privatschulen. The deal includes three schools with around 1,400 students and supports AcadeMedia’s international growth strategy, which aims to increase the proportion of revenue generated outside the Swedish school voucher system to 50 percent. In 2025, Docemus-Privatschulen reported net revenue of roughly EUR 16 million, with Adjusted EBITA meeting the Group’s profitability targets.

“Germany is a key market for AcadeMedia, and we are pleased to further strengthen our presence. With this acquisition, AcadeMedia becomes the leading provider in the state of Brandenburg. The addition enhances and reinforces our existing operations in the country,” says Kristofer Hammar, Director of Business Development at AcadeMedia.

Founded in 2005 by the Brügmann family, Docemus-Privatschulen currently operates three campuses situated along the Berlin–Brandenburg border. After the acquisition, AcadeMedia will become the largest education provider in Brandenburg, serving approximately 6,000 students across Germany.

Once the transaction is completed, AcadeMedia’s German operations will include 103 preschools and 12 schools. The acquisition is expected to create operational and structural synergies with the existing organization and supports the Group’s long-term goal of continued international expansion.

AcadeMedia’s international portfolio currently spans Norway, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and England, representing just over 30 percent of the Group’s total revenue.
