Proventis Partners, Mergers Alliance partner in the DACH region, advised SABO–Maschinenfabrik, manufacturer of premium lawnmowers and ground care equipment, on its sale to Chinese technology group LDROBOT.
SABO, headquartered in Gummersbach near Cologne, has stood for premium garden technology “Made in Germany” for more than 90 years. The company develops and manufactures durable, high-performance equipment for private users and professionals alike, ranging from lawn mowers and scarifiers to lawn tractors, hand-held equipment, and specialized solutions for municipal applications.
Founded in 2017, Shenzen LDROBOT Co. Ltd. specializes in intelligent robotic systems, with core competencies in multimodal perception hardware, AI algorithms, and spatial perception technology. Through its ANTHBOT brand, LDROBOT has already gained extensive experience in robotic lawn care. Combining this expertise with SABO’s longstanding development know-how and application experience creates the foundation for new products, particularly in the rapidly growing market for autonomous lawn care.
The transaction will enable SABO to further strengthen its existing capabilities while gaining access to additional technological expertise for its future development. The SABO brand will remain independent and continue its successful market positioning.
