Ognibene, an Italian player specialized in the marketing and assembly of transmission chains for the industrial and motorcycle sectors, has sold a majority stake to the UK based Renold Group, a global giant active in the design and production of transmission chains.
Founded in 1948 in Bologna, Ognibene supplies a wide range of transmission chains dedicated to the motorcycle world, standing out for its great ability to adapt to market needs. Today, Ognibene is led by the third generation of the family and has a large structure divided into two adjacent warehouses that include all the main activities, from prototyping to production, up to shipments. Ognibene stands out as one of the longest-standing Renold distributors in Italy.
This transaction represents an exciting opportunity for Renold to develop and implement the brand’s presence in Southern Europe and at the same time to improve and integrate the service offering. The acquisition will also generate over 15 million euros in turnover for Renold both through the development of new customers and through increased business with the current customer base.
