Opus Corporate Finance (UK) stregthens its Healthcare and Personal Care expertise with the addition of Amir Zafar

The Opus Healthcare Team has deep sector experience across healthcare services, life sciences and related supply chain and the personal care and beauty sectors and provide differentiated sector, M&A and capital raising advice.

Amir is a M&A professional and investment banker with 20 years of experience in leading regional sector franchises with a focus on healthcare and personal care sectors. During his career, Amir has advised leading corporates, entrepreneurs, and private equity clients on over 50 M&A, debt financing and capital markets transactions in these sectors.

Amir started his healthcare investment banking career in London in 2003 with ABN AMRO and then RBS, where he led the healthcare services and medical devices practice in EMEA. He joined Wells Fargo Securities in 2013 as a Managing Director to lead the firm’s M&A and investment banking businesses in EMEA and India for Healthcare, Consumer and Retail sectors. Prior to moving to London, Amir worked with Citigroup and ABN AMRO across Asia.

Amir has a post graduate degree in Finance and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau

Healthcare is a diverse sector with defensive, growing demand underpinned by ageing demographics, advancements in medical technology and increasing consumerism.
